#papichulofilm will always be very, very special to me. I made some amazing friendships when I went to London, Dublin and Glasgow to see it, which have since grown into a sisterhood. Here #mattbomer and #alejandropatiño talk about making connections. Sorry, it's a bit difficult to hear the interviewer. Video from Black Hollywood Live.
Our brilliant #Belfastpride team after a few glasses of wine at Belfast City Hall.
One of the things I love most about #mattbomer (and there are many), is how kind and patient he is with fans, I can definitely attest to that from personal experience. I'm sorry, I don't know who took this, but it shows Matt continuing to sign and take photos, even when a certain Mr Halls is saying that they have to go. And he does this out of the kindness of his gigantic heart, not for any payment. #myhero
@silenceclouds Sabine, thank you so much for the wonderful parcel which just arrived. It was totally unexpected and was much too generous. I love it all, am actually having a little bit of a cry, it meant so much to me. The Neal picture will be going on my wall in about 5 minutes and it was really kind of you to send gluten free goodies. Thank your daughters for me, I love their crafts and drawings. Matt truly has the most loving and caring fans, we really are family. Thanks again and Frohe Weihnachten und ein gutes neues jahr.
This clip is about #magicmikexxl with #mattbomer talking about his character Ken, and the situation he's in at the start of the movie. I think it brings home the changes Matt makes to his body to meet the demands of his character. This wasn't filmed that long after #thenormalheart yet he has changed a lot. Matt is so dedicated to his craft, it's incredible. Video from ScreenSlam
If you're in need of cheering up today, hope this helps. It's one of my favourite #mattbomer moments, from 2012 and an appearance he did at an Apple store. A woman stood up and took off her top and Matt's reaction is priceless. Sorry I don't know who took the video, but thank you so much for it!
Final post for #worldaidsday well, week, is the most heartbreaking, #mattbomer at the very top of his game. This was the reality for many young men, like Felix in #thenormalheart in the 1980s and beyond. Things have improved so much, but we mustn't get complacent, there is still a long way to go in order to win this battle. I remember Matt saying in a clip that he comes across a younger generation who say, 'well if I get it there's drugs I can take'. While that's sort of true, all drugs have side effects and prevention is much better than cure. Let's hope that by the next #worldaidsday we will have made massive strides forward towards eradicating this disease, and that everyone who needs it will have affordable, safe access to both preventative and therapeutic medication.
Taking a short break from listing items in my shop for this. A seemingly slightly embarrassed #mattbomer talks about why he supports the #aidswalknyc in 2011, and getting tested, knowing your status and practicing safe sex. We all need to work through our embarrassment and be responsible if we want to halt the spread of HIV. #worldaidsday #knowyourstatus #safesexisgreatsex #condomsarehot Thanks to gaylifeny.org for the video. By the way, all items in my shop benefit @trpni and #nationalaidstrust. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Superlev
This #worldaidsday it's good to remember how far the fight against the disease has come since the 1980s. Even since 2011, when #mattbomer spoke at #aidswalknyc along with Laura Innes. Advances in medication and the availability of PrEP have improved things immeasurably (if you can afford them). However, there are still new infections and the disease has no cure, and unfortunately a lot of attitudes and stigma have not changed. We all need to be allies in the fight to combat prejudice, ensure that effective treatment is made easily available, spread knowledge, and make this a horror of the past. #rocktheribbon #U=U
Now that it's officially #worldaidsday this is a little reminder of the incredible work done by #mattbomer in his role as Felix in #thenormalheart. He, of course won both a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award, and this is a little clip from the Golden Globe ceremony. The fight is far from over.
