Happy #NationalCatDay to all you cat folk out there! Today we are playing with a stir stick. The lesson? Make your own fun. Riley definitely makes her own fun. Bowie is being a creeper in this video, but that’s OK. It will be his turn to go crazy soon! Beautiful spot for a wedding! Congratulations Casondra and Eli! 👰🎩🥂❤️
I missed #blackcatappreciationday but not to worry. Bowie and I had a little photo shoot this afternoon on the stairs. He sure knows his angles! 🥰
File this under, “stupid shit that happens to me.” I was super cautious of all the various staircases inside the club because some are rather treacherous. For over a week I went up and down them probably 100 times. I was on what was likely my last load out the door and made it safely down the stairs. What I forgot about was the teeny tiny step from right outside the front door onto Boul. Saint Laurent. I missed it. I twisted my left ankle and pitched forward with a big storage bin in my hands. I landed square on my right knee. Square. I was certain I broke my kneecap. I was screaming and writhing in pain. Pain like I’ve never felt before. Poor Alexander and Lizi witnessed this, along with the doorman Shaun. They ran to my aid. At first they thought I hit my head, but I told them it was my knee. Alex went to call 911 and I asked him not to. I said I would like to wait a minute after the initial impact, shock and pain to see if I was able to move. I was able to sit up. A lady came over, took one look at my knee and told me it was broken. It was scraped and had massive swollen bumps. All of a sudden, I heard sirens. I thought, “they can’t be for me.“ They were. Someone called 911 and said that I fell off the roof. WTF?! The paramedics took one look at me and looked really confused. I told them that I just tripped over a tiny little stair. The ambulance arrived. They asked if I wanted to go to the hospital. I said no. The paramedic felt all the way around my knee a couple of times and asked if I was going to drive home. I said yes. Because I’m a crazy person. I had plastic bag full of ice from the club on my knee. The paramedic felt it one more time and said that I could go home, but if I was unable to move later or tomorrow that I had to go to the hospital for a scan. After about 30 minutes sitting in the middle of the sidewalk on Saint Laurent. I said goodbye to nurse Alex and emotional support queen Lizzie. I carefully drove home with the ice in my knee. I’m currently sitting with an ice pack on my elevated leg, with two kittens giving me love. I’m finding other scrapes and my lower back has started to hurt. But I am happy to be home.
