VEGAN GREEN EGGS & HAM in honor of Netflix launching a 13-episode adaptation of "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss, produced by Ellen DeGeneres! This dish is super simple and fun to make + it’s absolutely delicious! Full recipe below. ⬇️Click the link in our bio for the series trailer. @netflixfamily @netflixfood #GreenEggsAndHam #ad Recipe: Green Eggs: 1 block tofu, 1 tsp olive oil, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 cup spinach, 1 tbsp diced green onion, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp non-dairy milk (we prefer rice) or water. -Squeeze the water out of tofu using a towel. -Heat up 1 teaspoon of olive oil and add the tofu, crumbling it to look like scrambled eggs. -Mix in the garlic powder and salt and cook on low-medium heat for about 10 minutes, occasionally stirring. -While this is cooking, add the spinach, green onion, 1 tablespoon of olive oil & nondairy milk or water to a food processor and blend until smooth. -Add the mixture to the tofu and cook for another 5 minutes. -Ham: 1 block tofu, ¼ cup agave or maple syrup, ¼ cup soy sauce, ½ tsp liquid smoke, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder & 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking. -Slice the tofu into ¼ inch pieces and press out the water by placing a towel and cutting board on top for at least 30 minutes. -Mix together the rest of ingredients (minus the olive oil) to create a marinade. -Place the tofu in the marinade, cover and let sit refrigerated for at least 2 hours (marinate overnight for the most flavor!) -Heat up the olive oil in a large sauce pan & cook the tofu uncovered on medium heat for 5-10 minutes on each side, depending on desired crispiness. -Pair with the “green eggs” + toast and top with avocado! Enjoy!
