#StephonClark was a 22 year old Black man and father of two killed by Sacramento Police officers in March 2018 in his own backyard. The officers shot him 20+ times saying they thought he had a gun. It was a CELL PHONE. Not a gun. On March 2, 2019, the Sacramento County district attorney announced that the Sacramento police officers who shot and killed Clark would NOT be charged. This photo is from an activist in NYC during a protest about the unjust murder of Stephon Clark. We demand #JusticeForStephonClark and #policeaccountability. It's exhausting to fight but we must. How can we not? 📷: @activistnyc

👉 Swipe to see photos: 77 years ago today, President FDR signed an executive order #9066 which authorized 120,000 Americans of Japanese ancestry to be rounded up and incarcerated in #internmentcamps. Because they had "the face of the enemy," they were forced to abandon everything: their homes, jobs, businesses, families and sent to camps in deserts. No Japanese Americans were ever charged or convicted of espionage against the US. These histories must be told so we do not repeat them. Unfortunately, Trump's #MuslimBan had eerie similarities and begs the question, who gets to be considered American? 📷: @elissabrodt @ko_archives @acluva (Cindy Chu) @18millionrising
