9 months between these two photos and I could not be more proud! Not just for the progress I have made both physically and mentally, but for my COMMITMENT + CONSISTENCY! . I knew when I began working out again after having Rhea that it was going to be quite the journey, but I did what I always tell my Virtual fit-family to do and that is to take it ONE 👏🏻 DAY 👏🏻 AT 👏🏻 A 👏🏻 TIME 👏🏻 . So that is exactly what I have been doing these last 9 months. Taking it one day at a time - with my fitness, with my nutrition, with my mental health, with motherhood .... with LIFE in general! Why are we always in a hurry to get to ________ (👈🏻 insert goal)? I took a walk earlier. I have always been a quitter. I sat down in nature for quite a bit. This was my view. I felt like I was being beamed up into oblivion. 💜 Today sucked & I didn’t complete my 100th workout. I didn’t finish my program. But I didn’t want to waste this workout. I didn’t want to go into this last day of the only activity I have ever completely committed to with a shitty mindset. SO. Tomorrow is a new day. & I am very much so looking forward to pressing play for the last time on this program... (until I decide to repeat it of course!). I have always been a quitter. Always. I’m changing.

I did something yesterday that I tell myself NEVER DO THAT! I got on the scale 🤭 and it said that I’ve gained 12lbs. Since the last time I got on it months ago! • I have been devastated since! • The main reason why I don’t get on the scale is because I don’t want to discourage myself and diminish all of the hard work I put in by looking at a stupid number! • The fact is that I run at least a mile to 2 miles 3 to 5 days out of the week! I’m in the gym doing something 3 to 5 times out of the week! I bust my ass! And I’m not going to let a number tell me that my hard work is not paying off! 182lbs. Confidence doesn’t happen over night and to be very honest I still struggle with it at times. But I can’t believe the amount I’ve gained from my workouts and lifestyle. I don’t shy away from sharing that what I do has completely changed my life and girl I just like crazy dancing 💃🏽 wanting everyone to experience this!!! 🕺🏼 for real!!🙌🏽 . . Confidence doesn’t come from the size you are not the number on the scale. It comes from within! (Results help too hahahaha just saying) anyways I have worked so hard on my mental health over the past 2 years that I really don’t care what others think I care about working on what I THINK and FEEL 🗣 one of the biggest things I’ve learned is you know all the people you think are judging you??? Honey, give yourself a break because they don’t care about you and most likely are NOT your friends. (If they are get better friends) 👭 . . Little 90 day challenge/health update 👍 I’ve been journaling a lot still! Some days I miss but I still really benefit writing everyday. I spent a couple weeks focusing on my food habits (not restricting) but tracking and giving an honest look at what I eat and crave and very quickly saw how and why I either gain weight in a week or don’t budge in losing any at all. So I’ve started tracking macros and already have lost 3 pounds. It’s not restricting and it’s nice to know I don’t need to have any “food shame” because I’m still on top of my goals. In the future I would like to get to the point I don’t need to track everything! (If anyone wants to track their macros I can send you the formula I used!) No soda has been so beneficial I’ve had like 3 sodas since the start... but already just having way more water in the day I feel a lot healthier and has been nice for my skin. I really want to lose 30 pounds and I know I’m going to reach some blocks but I’m really hoping by bens first birthday I can get there... It’s a huge goal for me but it would be great to feel healthy and strong at one year postpartum. #9monthspostpartum #rachelhollis #last90days

For nine months my body was not my own as I shared it with my sweet boy and grew him inside, and as he grew, inevitably, I grew. Then in the months following his arrival my body once again was shared as I nourished him from it. Now though, now it’s mama’s turn to take back over TOTAL control. Pre-pregnancy I was at my lowest weight in my adult life. My body was leaner, stronger, and more toned than it had EVER been and I was becoming so incredibly comfortable in my own skin, however when I found out I was expecting everything on my body shifted, sagged, and inflated. Even now that I am working my way back to where I was on the scale pre-pregnancy my body is still SHAPED very differently than before and mentally even as the weight is coming off, it’s still very hard for me to adjust to this new skin of mine. It is my mission to once again love myself despite my imperfections. I refuse to tear down this body that carried and delivered my healthy, strong, and beautiful baby. I will learn to love, and be comfortable in this new skin that is the result of my most precious and cherished non scale victory, and that is a healthy baby boy! The scale may be going in the right direction, but it’s only gonna stay that way if I love myself at every number! If I don’t learn to love myself now, I won’t love who I am when I get to my goal, and then what would the point of all this be!?! I don’t get 2 seconds to breathe when we are in before he’s in the toilet, utility room, fireplace or playing with the knobs on the TV! I’ll be writing about this soon but I don’t care what anyone says, boys are very different to girls 😂 I’m tired, busy, snot covered, snuggled, have yanked nipples and have a usually happy little boy!! Back at it 💪💪 I haven't done an actual workout in a few weeks.. Every day it's on my mind but life pushes it off the to-do list each time. Plus baby girl is NOT a fan of the cold weather so she's demanded to sleep on top of me every night 🙄 so I have not been able to get much sleep. No sleep pretty much guarantees no workout for me. But today hubby challenged me to do one with him and when he wanted to back out of it I challenged him right back. We ended up doing the whole 30 minutes and being glad we did. @jacquelinecx0 thinks she found me on IG because we were both pregnant at the same time last year but I think I found her on purpose. See, I scroll IG just like you but I’m always keeping my eye out 👀for people who spark my interest to become friends with. #didwejustbecomebestfriends She seemed really cool and we followed each other throughout our pregnancies and had our babies one day apart. A fellow fitness lover, she had no interest in Beachbody.. at first! I wasn’t pushy because that’s not my style. She loved the gym and doing her own thing but as she saw me working out at home she decided to implement the home workouts because she was a new mom, worked from home & had recently moved far away from her friend group. She didn’t even realize how badly she needed community 😭 Here we are 5 months later, she’s a top coach on my team, helping tons of people & she’s LOST all the baby weight. Seriously, she looks amazing and I’m over here trying to catch up. 😂 She’s now on her way to start training for a bikini competition 👙👙👙using our home workouts in addition to her training. When I announced our #pnw #teamtcbretreat she was one of the first people to book a flight. She didn’t even hesitate to get on a plane with her baby and fly solo from New Jersey to Oregon to meet a bunch of strangers.🥰🥰🥰 You just don’t even freakin know what coaching can do for you or who it can bring into your life!!! This Spartan race was easier to overcome than being in labor. Something that each experience have in common is the whole mental challenge. I knew the physical part was going to be easy. . Happy Hump Day #FitFam . Today baby and I went out for a hike in our neighborhood park. We grab every opportunity to be outside. The release of endorphins from hiking was like therapy for me. Even if I was exhausted, I would feel so energized afterward. Time outside is good for babies, too. Fresh air promotes early language development and healthy sleep. Plus it just feels good. I always notice how Vikram watches the sun and trees. It is said that doing anything with babies takes twice as long, and this is certainly true for hiking! The extra weight of carrying the baby certainly slows me down some, and I need to take more frequent and longer breaks to attend to the baby’s needs and give him a break from the carrier. I always carry his snack, a diaper, wipes, and water. I try to be less goal-oriented and more experience-oriented when hiking with the baby especially while wearing him. . . . I hope you get a chance to go outside and enjoy the sunshine.
