Caleb got B A P T I S E D! . . . What an incredible day today watching our son choose JESUS and follow in Believers Baptism. Flanked by his Dad and his Pastor Papa, having grandparents and his only surviving Great-Grandma watch made it ever more special. We are so proud of him and grateful for all the spiritual brothers and sisters in his life that have helped “Fan the Flame” of his faith. Great Grandparents who prayed for the generations to come after them...grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends and family, Pastors and Sunday School Teachers, Youth leaders and teachers...we SEE you and your influence on his life. We praise God for EACH of you watering the seeds planted years ago. God is good and we REJOICE❣️ “Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it”. Phil. 1:6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!” Joshua 1:9 . . . #calebdude #secondborn #son #baptism #stepsoffaith #actofobedience #kingdomshaker #godlymen #peopleofthecross #washedbythewater #disciplesofchristjesus

"The best thing about paternity leave was the pace of life. The slowing down of time on a sunny afternoon, riding a bike with my little girl, coasting down a path by the Toronto waterfront, feeling the air on our faces. We had nowhere to be but right here. We had no one to be with but each other. Our goal wasn’t getting from Point A to Point B or checking some to-do list. Our goal was simple: be together, experience the world, enjoy life. These pockets of time were daily: up at 7:30AM, a quick bottle then off to the grocery store. Back home for breakfast and a hang in the living room. Soon, lunchtime followed by her hour-and-a-half nap while I prep for dinner. Mid-afternoon rolls around, and the day slows to a crawl. The outdoors would beckon as we would find ourselves with 2-3 hours of day to absorb before my wife gets home. The goal was to experience time, not use it up. We would get on the bike and, literally, follow the wind wherever it took us. We’d go down that road we’ve never been down just to see where it goes. We’d find hidden playgrounds, natural and man-made, to climb, fall down, and feel beneath our finger tips. Maybe this is what life used to be like before we all became workaholics buzzing with technology. Maybe this is what our ancestors from centuries ago used to equate with “living your life”. I think about this when talking to other Dads about paternity leave. The research shows that when men take solo paternity leave, women win: the wage gap decreases, more women stay employed full time, more women become managers, more women end up on Boards. The thinking here is simple: men learn how to pick up the slack on mental load like childcare and household chores when they spend dedicated time at home, freeing up women to pursue their careers more easily. But what about the benefits for Dads themselves?" [CONTINUED IN THE COMMENTS] ~@arthrell24
WATCHING! THIS POST MAY COME ACROSS AS "WEIRD" TO SOME! I am truly amazed at by what our bodies & minds are capable of. They grow, kill, battle, conquer the most incredible & life changers. They prove science wrong. They teach us what strength is when we allow them to. . The fact that two humans come together to create and the women's body grow's a human is so damn amazing... Fricken amazing! . She becomes a protection vault to this little human from day zero until infinity. She fights off infection, the cruelty in this world & pain all while trying gett damndest to stay strong through it all. . Her body literally goes through the most crazy changes. Many women are saddened & sometimes angry by the physical changes. . Mama's! The fact that your body does what it does is something to be so grateful for. Don't be upset about the way your body looks post-pregnancy... Embrace it! Love it! Love yourself & what you accomplished! . I look at my "imperfect" body & smile because it made him💙 . I often just stare at him💙 . I'm filled with joy when I look at him 💙 . I am always proud of him, even during his mischievousness💙 . I look at him & it's very clear why God made me his Mommy 💙 #boymom #embraceyourbeautifulbody #loveyourself #son #lovelife #amazing .
