I have been adding more core/ab exercises to my routine because it’s almost Summer ☀️ and I LOVE training it 👙 1️⃣Side Plank Crunch Keep your elbow directly under your shoulder and extend your top arm and leg. From here, bring your elbow towards your knee into a crunch. Hellooo baby obliques 🔥 2️⃣ Hand Walk-Out w/ Single Arm Reach I love this because I can stretch my hamstrings too-WINNING! 😉 Begin in a forward fold (hamstring stretch) and walk your hands down into a plank. Come down on one forearm and reach your opposite arm as far forward as you can! 🙃 Don’t forget to alternate arms as you reach 🙌🏼. 3️⃣ Half bicycle into Full 🚲 I like to begin letting my legs flow for some reps before I add in my elbow to opposite knee rotation/extension. 4️⃣Arm Pullover Straight Leg Crunch My arms are extended and reach above my head. 💥Rotation + Anti Rotation💥 One of the more unique pairings I’ve utilized amongst myself and clients alike would be that of rotation and anti rotation. Although they may come across as one in the same, both of which carry their own set of challenges and benefits. One of the primary reasons I use rotational patterns is for the ability to move the body through multiple planes of motion while under tension, challenging muscle groups that are rarely targeted in traditional and bilateral patterns. Not only are these movements good for functional strength, but can be heavily relied on for an increase in general or specific mobility. Anti-rotational patterns are amongst my favorite in training for the functional use they provide in day to day life. The Landmine RDL I am performing creates a bias, pulling me to one side while I fight to stay stationary. How often are we carrying objects on one side of our bodies while leaning instead of being aware and intentionally maintaining healthy posture for the spine? Anti-rotational movements challenge more than just the core, but many stabilizers across different planes, kinesthetic awareness and hip abduction, all of which are used throughout everyday activities. Below is an example of how I would pair the two midway through a session, post compound work. Staggered Stance Landmine RDL 6-8/side x 3; @30X1 Half Kneeling KB Windmill 6/side x 3; controlled throughout, rest 90sec

There are good days and there are bad days. One wouldn’t exist without the other. The sooner we start to not only understand this but truly believe it is the day we are able to better cope with what is thrown our way. I understand this, I am trying me best to believe it, but I am not truly there yet. Each day I get closer and it’s becoming easier to deal with all the shit thrown my way, but I still know there is more growth to happen. No one is perfect, no one ever will be. Even Tony Robbins has shit to work on and I don’t even know the guy but I bet you he has things to work on. All we can do is be grateful for the good and try our best to deal with the bad and not dwell too long. Just like lighting in gyms or bathrooms..sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. Today, the lighting was good but the workout was even better. The posing sucks though. I guess there is a balance to everything😂 I’ve had complete opposite ends of the coins within two days in terms of good and bad. Yesterday was bad, but today was great.
