What makes a good set? 
Walk into any busy gym and you’ll see all types of lifting styles. Here’s one who’s grunting and swinging as much weight as he can physically move, over there is one who looks like they’re moving in slow motion, and here’s yet another who is just going through the motions. Which way is best? Which way is optimal?

Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to be discussing what, in my humble opinion and expertise, makes up a perfect rep.

It took me too long to realize that if I wanted to put on size, I need to put on some leg size. They may not look like much yet, but they’ve earned me a few pounds gained in the muscle department. • • It’s also really important to note for both men and women, that when you work legs, you receive a natural testosterone increase because you’re activating so much muscle mass to push weight. This can be utilized to grow other muscles as well, such as arms, which is why I almost always perform a bicep tricep workout at the end of a heavy leg day! • • Today was a real heavy leg day. Finally back at it with some chest today! We did bench with double resistance, bands and chains, which added about 140 pounds at the top. We did sets of 3 till we reached our top weights then did 4 sets of 2-3.
