If you are brand new to lifting understand that to successfully go through both phases and achieve the result you were looking for is to know that you can do it again in the future, it gives you confidence . Now Imagine bulking and putting on somebody fat, as you would with any bulk and knowing that last time you cut you didn’t do a good job and you quit half way through. You wouldn’t feel as good bulking and you would doubt whether you can cut the body fat again in the future. It takes away from the bulking experience . If you’re going to do something, do it right. Even if it takes longer or is harder than you anticipated. What an amazing week this week has been 😍. When I scheduled 5 workshops in 7 days, I knew this week was going to be my busiest yet 🤩. I’ve taught 3 Corporate workshops at Success Library, The Catholic Education office & Alcoa & today I’m holding the last of my 2 sold out Healthy Christmas Entertaining workshops 🎄🎄. There’s not many photos, because we’ve been too busy workshopping 🤣. This time of year is always pretty stressful for me. I worry about just about everything really. There's a lot of things this time of year that feel incredibly out of my control and I tend to let those feelings of stress and worry control me and I remember this time last year, I was pint deep in a container of ice cream trying to forget about all my worries buried in the far reaches of chocolate peanut butter swirl and cookie dough. //// But this year is different. It isn't that things are going perfectly, in fact, the opposite. Absolutely nothing is as I would hope it to be right now, BUT instead of focusing on what I can't control and letting it consume my entire being, I am working hard, and praying hard, and focusing on what I CAN control, and that is my health and what I put in my mouth each day. //// It's incredibly hard, especially on days like today where I cried so hard my two year old heard me and snuck into my bedroom and cried with me. (She's the sweetest, by the way, I love that girl SOOOO much!) //// BUT, one week of workouts, one week of eating the right food in the right amounts and already seeing a difference! This is so exciting to me to SEE and FEEL the progress, especially this time of year when I'm feeling that extra stress and worry AND with the extra treats around (that I will be able to enjoy but won’t feel the need to binge on) and I feel so accomplished getting a jump on the New Year! //// I know things this time of year get busy, stressful, and we tend to say, "Well, January is coming, I'll do it then," but let's NOT wait til January. Let's not let the busyness of this season and the stresses dictate how we CARE for ourselves!
