A BUTT POCKET! and it fits THINGS in it! overall fucking amazing. they also stay up really well.⁣ ⁣ (this sounds like an ad, it isn't, but hmu @oldnavy if you want one considering i only wear the elevate compression leggings 99% of the time)

The assumption is that the caloric value consumed during each episode is small enough to omit from our nutritional reckoning. But whilst the values are individually small, over time small can become relatively large. Much like pennys make pounds. ⁣ ⁣ Another assumption may be that consuming a ferociously calorie dense Domino’s pizza will require diligent tracking to the utmost. If compositional goals are in play, diligent tracking of calorie dense items is of course wise, but they should be held in the same perspectives of all calories consumed. Because all food is equal in that we should allow ourselves access to any food we enjoy. ⁣ ⁣ Yet we often have a disconnect between assumption and reality. Assumption leads one to believe that regular, small amounts of sauce are too insignificant to be worthy of consideration. But that an irregular pizza may ruin the hard yards of dieting, such is its caloric density. ⁣ ⁣ Though sauces and moderated pizzas should always be eaten if enjoyed, if perspective is applied, we can see above that the assumed threat to one’s composition (pizza) is in fact more favourable than the assumed insignificance (sauces). ⁣ ⁣ As ever, the point here revolves around awareness. High protein peanut butter jelly quinoa bowl 🍓🥜🍚😍 I have been OBSESSED with this bowl for the last few days - for some reason I always forget that quinoa can have a sweet side! With more protein and less fat than oatmeal it’s a great swap out when you want something a little different and delicious!! . . A little note before the recipe: you do not have to ( and IMO should not) eat ONLY low cal meals!! I feel like everyone’s obsession with lowering calories in order to lose bodyfat they forget the many other jobs that calories have that are actually important! Calories are what give you energy, what allow for SO many daily functions, what fuel your workouts, what build your muscle - getting enough calories ( and micronutrients) is imperative to not only your health and your progress- but literally your SURVIVAL! . . Just because something is higher in cals doesn’t mean it is unhealthy or that you should avoid it- it just means you should be aware of it in the context of your day if one of your goals is maintaining a certain body composition. Just because something is low cal doesn’t mean it’s actually doing anything beneficial for your body. . . Even when you are in a fat loss phase where you are lowering cals- you should have a plan to reverse out of it and get back to a place where you are eating enough to thrive and not just survive. . . So no, this bowl isn’t low cal. But it’s full of healthy fats, specifically omega 3’s, 34g of whole food plant based protein, fibre, a shit ton of magnesium and it tastes good af 😊 it’s a perfect meal to have an hour before your workout and will leave you with lots of energy 😊 . . 100g quinoa ( uncooked) 1 tbsp chia seeds 3 tbsp hemp hearts 1 tbsp peanut butter 1.5 tbsp strawberry jam 1/2 cup soy milk Pink salt . . Cook quinoa according to package instructions, top with rest of ingredients. Stir and be amazed at how yummy it is!! Hahaha 😍 #eatbetternotless #wholefoods #plantprotein

Turkey roll ups and almonds 😍 my snacks for today. The truth; I realised after uploading the 4th day of my tracking calendar on my story that it looks like I have it all under control. So I thought I’d shed some light... I’ve yo-yo dieted since I was 16 years old (I’m now 21 🤗). Every summer holiday I would work so hard and I would lose weight but by the time the next exam season started the stress would lead me to regain the weight lost 😓. I’ve tried calorie counting before and to be honest it was so bad for my mental health - I did not like it at all 🙅‍♀️. I’ve tried all the extreme stuff like no carbs, or cutting out all snacking and it just never lasted because it’s just not feasible for me 🙄. This summer I decided to put an end to all that and to start a journey that would stick, this is the first time ever that whilst trying to lose weight I still feel so happy and that is honestly the key to staying on track. Once you find something that works for you - that you enjoy - it’s so much easier 😊. With that being said, of course I have hard days where I just want to eat a box of chocolates (maybe 2) and I do allow myself a cheat meal every now and again, but I don’t let myself give up because I’ve done that for 5 years and for once I want to see what happens when I don’t give up 💪. Although it looks like I have it all under control, I’ve struggled a lot and still do especially mentally.
