DAY 11 of 30: It has been a hectic week! Finals are right around the corner and a lot of major projects I have been working on are due soon. With this in mind, I will give you some of my tips on how I balance my school life and training. - 1️⃣ PLAN YOUR DAY: The first thing I do when I wake is to plan out my day by the hour. I include all classes/meetings, assignments due that day, projects I need to work on, when I eat and when I train. I give myself a reasonable amount of time for each action to make sure I can accomplish them in a timely manner without running into another time slot dedicated to another item. This may seem like a tedious process, but it has dramatically turned my life around. Personally, it helps to minimize my procrastination because I know that I have to keep to a schedule if I want to accomplish what I want in a day. - 2️⃣ TRAIN IN THE MORNING: If you find yourself skipping training sessions often, I recommend this for you. You do not have any obligations in the early morning. There is no work/class, no kids to feed or drive to school, no emails to answer. Also, most people are not awake and are not needing you in those hours. This is the perfect opportunity to train. Once you go about your day, you do not have to worry about fitting in a training session into your schedule if something more important arises. - I hope you enjoy these tips and find a way to incorporate them into your life! Taking the rough with the smooth currently, calories are much lower and I’m getting into better shape, improve health and such in the run up to Christmas and the New Year to be ready to ramp things up again from January.
