A few years ago when I was obese, I wouldn’t have had the strength to push through the waves on the way out or stand from a prone position at the end of each ride. Non-scale victories (NSV) are the fckin best & what I tell all of my clients to focus on. We all start somewhere, so take note of EVERY aspect of progress, not just the scale. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Left was me as a freshman in college, dancing around on St. Patty’s day 🤣 #buffaloirish ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At the time, I HATED the gym. An ex boyfriend tried to get me to lift & I was appalled 🤪 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I spent the next 8ish years trying to run my way to a toned body with feminine curves, and thought kale salads were the only way to get me there... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PSSTTTT: it don’t work like that! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Right is me today, after a few years of lifting weights and learning macros. When I say those 2 things are life changing, I’m not being dramatic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the past 668 posts on this IG account, I have never ever shown this angle bc it has always been one of my biggest insecurities but fuck that-were all a work in progress.
