THE BINGE….. So last time you said it was the LAST time…..and yet another week is gone and another week where you haven’t made any progress. Quite often people are convinced they are only eating the number of calories (1,200 is the magic number I hear!) and they can’t understand why they’re not losing weight. What they don’t tell you is that they ate 1,200 calories Monday - Thursday (or at least think they didn’t because they weren’t properly tracking their intake) but then lost it on the weekend and consumed 4,000 calories on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on drinking beer and scoffing take away because you’ve felt hungry and deprived all week. If you stabilise your calorie intake across 7 days of the week you won’t get the same flexing of appetite and cravings because you never get too hungry and therefore you’re less likely to binge. Makes sense doesn’t it?? As such if you find yourself binging on the weekends you may need to up your calories to you don’t go through the same repeated motions of ‘I’m starving’, ‘I’m so hungry’ to ’I’m going to eat my left arm if I don’t eat soon’. Don’t deprive yourself - limit yourself, don’t cut things out just eat them in moderation, don’t cut your calories too low and force. Binge, don’t try and lose 7lbs in a week but accept that 1b a week is a far healthier way to do it. Wether or not a diet is successful, is dependent on wether or not it’s sustainable for an individuals lifestyle! Aimée logic: if I eat @spud.lite potatoes, I can have double the amount right? 🤔😏 - It’s so bizarre, but one of the top things I missed while living in the UK were Spud Lite potatoes. It’s all well & good that they have 25% less carbs than normal potatoes (which is where Aimée logic comes in bc #volumeeating #gains ), but they honestly have SUCH a good texture and flavour that normal white potatoes are literally disappointing to me now. So easy to cook too - I just cut them up into fairly big pieces and microwave for 8-9 mins. Or I will just cook them whole (microwave for 5 mins, flip sides, microwave for another 5). I don’t know what possessed me to dedicate this #motivationmonday to potatoes, but I think it was a great life choice. There’s a perception that we have to be hungry all the time. That we have to spend hours in the gym, slogging away on the treadmill. We have to count and track and weigh and measure. Keeping a fresh feed of motivational memes and inspirational quotes. Because if we don’t, we’ll realize that we actually hate our efforts. This is why we yo-yo. This is why we crash. Because we go all FN in. And then all FN out. We’re “on” or we’re “off”. And we spend a ton of time “off”. And we know it. We see past pictures of ourselves. Or we read about some diet or exercise program we tried. And we say things like “that worked”. Yet, right now. In this moment. We’re nowhere near as lean, strong, or healthy as we know we deserve to be. You might think starvation and excessive exercise "work". But if the results don't last. If you hate your life. Do they really "work"? How you define success is your business. But consider a higher standard than fleeting, miserable, moments of being a specific shape or size. Yes, your physical health matters. Yes, being fit can enhance your short time on this rock. However, your attempts to achieve health and fitness need not preclude all the other things in life that bring you joy. So, continuously ask yourself whether your approach is sustainable. Whether you can maintain it for the long run. Whether your life is still worth living. Only you can answer this question. What you do is what you do. It will be different from what somebody else does. You deserve nothing but the best life. You are worthy. You’ve got this.

Зачем нужны упражнения на баланс? За то, чтобы держать позу и равновесие в нашем теле отвечают отдельные мышцы. Часто бывает, что человек дает себе хорошие силовые нагрузки, нарабатывает хорошую мускулатуру и связки. А в какой-то момент решает, например, поиграть в футбол и на совершенно не критичной нагрузке травмируется. Почему такое может происходить? Наши мышцы имеют специализацию. Поверхностные мышцы позволяют нам двигаться, они отвечают за силу и скорость. Глубокие мышцы-стабилизаторы, работу которых мы замечаем меньше, поддерживают позу и отвечают за равновесие и координацию. Силовая нагрузка больше развивает поверхностные мышцы, а глубокие прорабатываются с помощью упражнений на баланс. Работа с глубокими мышцами повышает стабильность суставов и позвоночника и существенно снижает риск травм. Также упражнения на баланс - один из лучших способов развития проприоцепции. Проприоцепцию можно охарактеризовать как "чувство тела", способность мозга воспринимать относительное положение и движение различных частей тела. Благодаря проприоцепии мы знаем, как располагаемся в пространстве даже когда наши глаза закрыты. Все сложнокоординированные действия невозможны без развитой проприоцепции - это фундамент нашей ловкости и устойчивости. What does it take to go from absolute novice, to champion? My three keys? Goal setting. Habits. Mindset. Left: bikini novice. Placed 1st in my show. After competing another three times I took out the state championships for both novice and open. Right: WBFF bikini Pro. After four shows competing with the WBFF I placed 1st and earns Pro status. My WBFF debut, no placing. I then placed 5th, 4th and finally won. Success does not come easy. We see the glitz and glamour of stage or the triumph of winning. We see the joy and satisfaction of those who have achieved their goals - what we do not see is what it takes to get there. The weeks, months and years of hard work. The discipline. The focus. The number of times someone falls down - but picks themselves back up. The breakdowns, the self-doubt, the suffering and sacrifice. When I step on stage, I do not have to fake my smile. Because it is genuine. Show day is a celebration of the hard work that goes into every prep. So I want to share what it takes to succeed. 1. Goal setting. Know what you want and how to get there. Plan yearly, monthly, weekly and daily action points. Write them down every night and tick them off every day. 2. Habits. Part of the ability to achieve daily goals comes from the habits we form. This will take time and discipline. Forcing yourself to get up and do what must be done each day until, eventually, it becomes a part of who you are. 3. Mentality. You must believe you are capable of success - or you will never achieve what you set out to do. Visualisation and mentality are two of your most powerful tools. Master your thoughts, mind and perception and you will master your potential. Today more than ever these three things got me through. The reality is - it was not my best day. Calories have dropped. I am now deep into prep so mood is low, energy is dropping and my mentality is impacted due to decreased seratonin. I have moments where I question myself and potential to succeed. My training was off and I let it get me down - because I should be getting stronger and, instead, couldn’t make my usual lifts. (Continued in comments)

You know I’ve never actually been ‘lean’ I always start getting comfortable and then ease off 🤔 . . For me it’s more about being able to enjoy things and I f***ing love food ... but then I get too comfortable 😂 . . It’s easily done and it’s a pattern I’ve gone through many times with a crazy work load and juggling life in general, but this is the first time I’m not letting my work load get out of hand so I can concentrate on many other things in my life . . In this picture I’m 94kg so 4kg less than I am now so within a matter of weeks I’ll be pissing all over this look and to continue to get trimmer than when I was 89kg . . Time to get tight and dense .... body pending 🕺🏻
