I tried a new yogurt today #yoplait. This was under the lid. What do you think when you hear “eat smart”? I work with a lot of people that have different challenges with eating to feel their best. Some have issues with over eating and others with under eating. A lot of times the reasons may be the same: Stress. Lack of time. Continuing behaviors they were raised on #cleanyourplateclub). Fear. Happiness. Whatnot. Eating most of the time for reasons outside of hunger and energy can lead to imbalances with our weight. Eating smart to me means: learning from ourselves what foods fuel us the best, learning the amounts that make us feel energized and not lethargic or tired, and feeling in control of “fun foods” and how often they can be in our diet. This takes time, however. Being “smart” often takes trial and error, being patient with ourselves, and not judging ourselves when something doesn’t end up working. It means not giving up and learning from each “mistake” or “mishap”. Do you think you “eat smart”?
