Incoming shots from the Alumni game yesterday! 🏉 Played in the rain, which felt amazing from all the burns and cuts I got from the turf field 🤪🔥 Had a tennis ball-shaped lump on my shin after the first 5 minutes, bled from my hands, knees, & elbows, bruised all over my thighs, got stiff-armed in the face, and my shoulders/collarbones are destroyed, but possibly my fav game of the semester! 🥴

I feel it in my mid to lower end of the triceps. I’m going for overall development. I’ve never actually filmed this, and did notice I could benefit from going further back on the bench. Enough to have my head hang back a bit. You’ll see at one point I actually hit my face! I don’t go “light” with these. You should though at first, if you’ve never done them. I already had a massive warm up too. That’s important to note. ( @axeandsledge @the.demo.crew )

Well guess what... ⚡️⚡️⚡️ The new Forged by Zeus strength protocol focuses on one thing - total body, raw strength and power development; but we do it in a unique way that is also focused on functionality, flexibility, and positional work. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ This program will require 60-90 minutes of training per day, depending on the day, from warm-up to cool-down. We focus on strength in multiple facets; bodyweight, barbell, dumbell, and bands using both unilateral & bilateral movements - and THAT’S IT - save the cardio for everyone else...or sprinkle in your own. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Each day will start with a general and specific warm-up, incorporating prerehabilitation exercises to keep athletes healthy and moving well. Then, we have main pieces that include compound exercises - both weightlifting and powerlifting - as the main portion of our session most days. Then we'll move into a few pieces of functional strength that are designed to improve stability and flexibility, as well. The last piece of most training days will include some strongman and pump work. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Now, perhaps most importantly...who is this program for? First, this is the off season protocol followed by Games athletes like Tim Paulson to improve his base for the CrossFit season. However, this protocol is also designed to be used by gym-goers and CrossFitters alike to focus on and train specifically for strength and overall functionality and health. This is not a CrossFit program, nor is it a conditioning program. It’s focus is solely and purely strength work. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ In addition to this program, you can add our Morning Monostructural track for half price (an additional $10) if you want to focus on building your aerobic capacity along with strength work. Deadlift: 0/3 HAHAHAHA 585/661/661 . My dumbass bombed out on the only thing I’m decent at😂 . It’s okay I still have a 2k Kaokashi gym Total💁🏼‍♂️ . Very special thanks to @bby_bonez for putting up with my insanely irritable and horrible mood the last few weeks, and making breakfast every morning. . @kixxstah17 for driving out at 4am just to come handle me for the day. . Posted @withrepost@kylepowerlifting Started with raw bench initially today (and that went shitty), so I switched over to doing slingshot bench press and used some chains instead. I am glad that I did, because I was actually able to salvage the training session and have a good lift, just by changing things up a little bit 👍. . . Honestly, it is not always just about training harder, you also need to be smart, and learn to listen to your body. Varying up my training to accommodate how my body feels each day has been a major part of my recent growth. Cant wait to see how it translates on the platform! Looking forward to @usapowerliftingohio State Championship in March! . .
