“When the photo is really a metaphor for your life” ........... Okay so I probably should have never worn these overalls to work, but they’re so comfortable and stretchy (as you can see a very thin line of elastic is what’s keeping my thighs inside 🙈). Of course this progression of torn jeans isn’t just a funny mishap at work, but kinda a metaphor to what’s been going on. I tend to just ignore things, but some things just can’t be ignored or they’ll find anyway to make you notice. And sometimes instead of facing things, we just try to cover it up (like how I did with the tape since I’m pretty sure I should have been sent home with a tear that big). But then after the day is over and you go home to finally unwind, you see the issue was never really resolved and once you remove the tape, you’re left with an untreated wound that probably got worst due to “poor maintenance” (pretty sure that duct tape just made the hole bigger 🤷🏽‍♀️ So I guess the moral of the story is covering up the problem isn’t actually fixing it...and never wear overalls with your thighs hanging out 🤣🤣🤣 #AjedVu #Mentalhealth #jeans #overalls #metaphors Oh and does anyone know a good tip on how to fix these??? Then, Sam meets Caroline, a friendly, caring girl who makes Sam feel comfortable enough to explain her OCD to someone outside of her family and therapist for the first time. Caroline invites Sam to join the Poet’s Corner, a secret group of poets at school. There, Sam meets new friends, including a boy named AJ, who she begins a romance with. Just as Caroline had promised, being part of the Poet’s Corner changes Sam’s life. But soon, a terrifying realization shatters everything Sam thought she knew. . I loved this book! It is one of my new favorites. 😊 I was so interested in all of the characters; they are complex, realistic, and heartbreaking. In addition, this is a very accurate portrayal of life with OCD. Ever feel like you have your sh*t together? Yeah me either. I've learned it's more stressful trying to get it together than just letting the pieces fall how they fall. This weekend I had an amazing time making new friends, making memories, and having a few more drinks than planned. I try to base my progress on how I feel not the number on the scale. Its helped my mental health alot looking at it this way. But don't get me wrong I still have a number goal because I know my body has plenty of fat to say bye to. I started my 100 workout program with a goal of losing 15 pounds. Workout 20 and I have gained 3. Am I disappointed, not really. See I am stronger than day 1 & have accomplished moves (from the program) that I really didn't know how long it would take to learn. In order to see the number drop on the scale I need to follow my nutrition plans 90%. In order to get stronger and grow, I just need to show up everyday and give it my best shot. Don't beat yourself up over your weight fluctuations. . Time to get raw with y'all. (Even more so) Today's workout is day 22/100 Weight 212lbs. Attitude 100% let's do this! When you are at your floor and there are more stairs behind/ahead of you, TURN AROUND AND LOOK! . It’s too easy for someone to be coming down quietly at the same time and take you by surprise. . The element of surprise works to the aggressor’s advantage, so take control of your environment and be aware - ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE BY YOURSELF! . Something like this can become a total oversight, especially if (like me) you walk a flight of stairs like this every day. It takes two seconds to look behind you and sometimes it can be a matter of life or death. Better paranoid than kidnapped, that’s my motto 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am a writer for any good cause, literally any. My pen is always thirsty for more. Especially those that no one speak of, or those that are not spoken enough about. Writing is my sustainable passion. I have been writing since I was 10 years old My interests in writing are: spreading environmental awareness, mental health and disorders, tough teenager years and what people lake of in raising children in Egypt, mutual culture understanding, self-development, empowering women and primarily the details of our life which we lose the sight of in a materialistic progressive world.
