🔥𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐕𝐒 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐒🔥 First thing is first...whether you workout in the morning or evening or anywhere in between, the fact that you're getting one in is what matters. Some people will say the morning is better because of XY and Z and others will say the evening is better, but truthfully it is what you prefer and your preference! - However, there are benefits and detriments to working out at different times of the day! Working out in the morning is a great way to start the day, kicks up your metabolism to a whole new level of burning, is usually when you're the most awake to get it done, and definitely gets you energized for the rest of the day not to mention it's over and done with and you don't have to worry about it later! However, you have less food in you, thus less fuel, and if you're not an early bird, you're probably not going to have too much fun doing it bright and early😂! On the other hand, working out in the evening is one of the best destressers from the day, you'll be able to lift more from the additional good in your system (more food means more fuel) and you can sleep in an extra hour or so, but you may have to push through fatigue that you gained throughout the day and psychologically it is a bit harder to have gone through a whole work day, still knowing that you have to workout. - Regardless of when you did it, there is going to be benefits and detriments! I personally prefer the morning if my schedule allows it and it is something I can stick to in the long term! Remember, consistency is what is important! . . visit:www.zedonnutrition.com . . #zedon #zedonnutrition #morningworkout #nutrition #protein #eveningworkout #gymtips #musclebuilding #diet #fatloss #healthysnack #lifestylechange #flexibledieting #nutrition #musclefood #nutritiontips #yoga #fitness #flexibility #physicaltherapy #yogi #bodybuilding  #deadlift #squat #legday #workout #yogaformen #didyouknow  #mobility

🔴 HIIT vs LISS CARDIO 🔴 - Follow @smartfitness.au for more informative fitness content! - Firstly what's the difference? - 🏋🏽‍♀️ HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) • HIIT involves high intensity activities, generally at more than 90% of your max heart rate for long periods with little rest. - ✅ PROS • More calories burnt in a shorter period of time • Generally more fun & engaging • Involves resistance training which can stimulate muscle growth • Increased metabolic rate after exercise • Cardiovascular benefits • Improve aerobic fitness - ❌ CONS • More fatiguing • Longer recovery time • Increased risk of injury • Not ideal for beginners or those with cardiovascular issues - 🏃🏽‍♂️ LISS (Low Impact Steady State) • LISS involves repetitive exercise for long periods at time at moderate intensity, generally around 40-60% of your max heart rate. - ✅ PROS • Less taxing on your body & central nervous system • Easier to perform & stick to • Quick recovery • Improve cardiovascular health • Improve aerobic fitness - ❌ CONS • Repetitive & boring • Won't build muscle • Risk of overuse injuries (eg. Shin splints) • Takes more time to burn calories • Your body adapts to it quickly • Can risk muscle breakdown - SO WHICH IS BETTER❓ - The answer (like most fitness related debates) is it depends! There are pros and cons to each & it's going to vary from individual to individual. - Are you trying to burn the most calories in the shortest period of time? Opt for HIIT! - Do you have more time available to you & already have a fairly intense resistance training program? Opt for LISS! - There's no harm switching between the two either, experiment with both! - Let me know which you prefer! 💪🏼🏃🏽‍♂️🏋🏽‍♀️👊🏼

You’ll generally find that the more stability you can create, the more joint forces you can manage and the better to can make the resistance profile of an exercise, your muscular output will increase whilst risk of injury will decrease. There will be times when you won’t be able to get all three, but tick as many of the boxes as possible. Tricep extensions are a seemingly simple exercise, but you’d be surprised at the amount of shoulder, elbow and wrist issues that they cause. Here I’m using a bench to help stabilize my upper and to prevent me leaning forward to much when the load gets too heavy, dual ropes to help better manage forces through the elbow by creating better alignment and to also create a better resistance profile. All combined this makes for a pretty tasty exercise.

First PT session at @ptfitnessfreaks yesterday ✔️💪🏻 I haven't used a single machine since I left Ben Dunne Gym in January 2015 so it feels like I've gone back to when I first started 😂 Getting familiar with new surroundings & equipment again is tough but I really enjoyed the sessions I provided yesterday. All seeing changes on the scales and I think this new gym will get the best out of everyone. Tracking reps and weight again so we can try and better ourselves each session. Back in at 11am with Stuey today so will be good to see how he finds the new gym 💪🏻 To book sessions, DM me or go to www.jayharrispt.com #fitness #newgym #machines #newstart #fitnessfreaks #muscle #toning #reps #weights #musclebuilding #muscletoning #ripped #strong #healthy

🔴Conventional vs Sumo🔴 You can find pros and cons for both anywhere, here I'll give you my take that will get you thinking about not just these lifts but others... I like the CDL more than the SDL and I'll sometimes as a joke refer to the SDL lifters as practicing the 'Dark Arts' because of the reduced range of motion. But here's where individual biomechanics might mean that you have to use the SDL. Your training goal is always the most important consideration when selecting exercises for yourself. Sometimes just because a certain exercise is hugely popular, doesn't mean it's necessarily great for you. I've had plenty of clients that the CDL or even a Good Morning for example, was fairly pointless due to their biomechanics. So with that being said, observe your levers and biomechanics. Stand in front of the mirror and look at your torso, arm and femur length. The reason why that's important is because by understanding the exercise and the impact those three body parts have on the set up of a DL is crucial. To give you an example, the worst deadlift technique I ever saw (through no fault of his own) was a PT's. He was tall, had short arms, long legs and a short torso. Getting him to CDL was a crime against humanity. That's where the SDL comes into play. People with long legs and short arms will find it incredibly difficult to be able to pack their spines into the position required and keep it 'neutral' to hip hinge effectively during a CDL. To do so they'll have to have a higher degree of knee flexion, essentially squat...to pack their spine in safely. This in turn pushes the bar forward, away from the midline causing excessive lumbar tension. Whereas in a SDL, the lifter can have a wider stance, drive the knees out, reduce the distance from the midline to the bar and assume a more upright starting position. It will also place a larger emphasis on traps, upper back, glutes and adductors. Do you have any DL questions? Pop them fown below 👇
