-EH TÚ QUE ESTÁS AHÍ...- ¿Cómo llevan la vuelta a los entrenos? ¿¿Acogen septiembre con fuerza o son más bien de la versión "como ir al cole las primeras semanas" que por no estropear la libreta nueva no escribes o si lo haces es muy lentito y con letra bonita y bolis de colores?? Yo tengo un objetivo cerca, mi cumpletrail y el mister dijo " no te puedes saltar nada del entreno, hay que cumplir a rajatabla!!" Así que llevo 2 días funciéndome a series, sin ganas de ello, pero acabando muy orgullosa por hacerlo. Desconozco el clima de ustedes pero aquí se fueron las lluvias y llego el sol picante de nuevo. 6EP + 3 @ (845-900) P R O U D of this. I’ve been making such progress and this here is a step in the right direction for me! I feel strong holding steady pace and it feels GREAT even on 6mile legs! I am LOVING the way this training is really coming together. I seriously can’t ever say enough good things or stress to runner how valuable it is to HIRE A COACH. I feel so confident and my coach did that. She gave me the confidence and support I didn’t know I needed! This felt good and keeping Heartrate easy and steady. I looked down on mile 8 and I was holding decent pace and hrt was 161. 🥳🥳🥳 I a firm believer and follow heart rate closely! It tells the true story of your journey! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Three weeks out from @chimarathon which means time for one more push. Lacing up for a half marathon tomorrow that will be much like the rest of my training....hot. — I like to do a half 3 weeks out to test my fitness, lock in some marathon pace and set the tone for the marathon. The heat is going to throw a bit of a wrench in those plans. But then again, it might be hot in Chicago. Now’s the time to figure it out. — As a @mind.over.matter.athlete we’re constantly reminded to “silence the enemy within”. That enemy has gotten the best of me in the heat all. Summer. Long. Time to kick that enemy in the teeth. 👊🤜

I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since @the4bz and I ran our last marathon. That was the @dublinmarathon and we had a great time running it! And now, marathon training begins since in 108 days we will be running the @rundisney Walt Disney World Marathon and getting this medal! Can’t wait to run 26.2 miles with my amazing wife at my side and all the Disney characters to meet and greet us! Folks, this one will NOT be for any great time. We’ve run this before and just want to have fun. And with this race, you never know what weather you will get! Last time we ran it the humidity was literally 100%! Can’t wait though!

Hösten är tuff när det gäller infektioner. Efter en veckas förkylning kom jag igång med löpningen igen den här veckan. En genombrottsvecka skulle man kunna säga då jag bl.a. kört hela tre distanspass kl 05 på morgonen. Jag föredrar sena kvällspass, men ALLT handlar om disciplin. Alternativt viker du ner dig. Idag vaknade jag dock med halsont, igen.. Mår inte 💯 och det är inget annat att göra än att äta mazariner och dricka kaffe hela dagen 😉. Nu är dock frågan om jag hinner tillfriskna till på tisdag då jag, @tn0rdman m.fl. får chansen att genom @nocout.se köra ett träningspass med @j0han0lss0n. Det är inget vanligt träningspass. Let’s talk long run nutrition. Carbs are your best, most efficient source of energy. It’s important to have quick sources as well as long acting carbs (complex carbs which take longer to break down). You can be strategic in when you eat them. I like to eat a combination of quick and long acting carbs an hour or two BEFORE a long run. During the run, I rely quick acting carbohydrates that your body can use fast (research shows a carbohydrate blend, like glucose + fructose, can increase absorption). So many options if you can’t stomach gels- dried fruit, cereal, liquid options like @tailwindnutrition, @skratch and @nuunhydration endurance, small sandwiches, and i’ve even had clients make my sweet potato 🍠 coconut energy bites. After a run, the body needs carbs AND protein to replenish muscle glycogen stores, build muscles back up and balance blood sugar. What’s your long run 🏃🏼‍♀️nutrition plan?
