SUNSHINE☀️ • I love the sun. I set myself a goal at the beginning of the year to get 20-30mins if direct sunlight each day. Being in the sun energises you in so many ways... did you know that your body thrives off of sunlight? • We are cyclical creatures. One thing that has remained constant over the thousands of years of our species history is the rotation of the earth and the exposure to rhythmic sunshine every day (go to sleep when the sun goes down, rise as the sun comes up). 🌚🌞 • Only recently due to the introduction of artifical light through the lightbulb, then progressing to computers and mobile phones, we have disrupted some of the basic bioloigical rhythms (more specifically our sleep/wake cycle) that occur in our systems. 💡📱💻 • Do you find some days you may not even see the sun?... you arrive at the gym or work before the sun comes up, and leave the gym or work after the sun goes down.😴 • This has been detrimental to the health of modern society. If you are are trying to stay healthy and fit, don’t deprive yourself of the natural healing powers of the sun!🙌🏼☺️☀️ • Sun can enhance natural Vitamin D production, can help maintain normal circadian rhythms that will aid in your sleep hygeine, and can help balance daily energy and mood. ⚖️ • Your goal each day should be to get 20-30mins of direct sunlight everyday.
