Instead of hammering on her for her nutritional habits this week, I stepped back and listened to her frustrations with her job. I’m tired. Allergies bugging me. Felt lazy but also wanted to try the new waffle maker. 1 sp egg waffle. 2 eggs, 2/3 c shredded hash browns (Ore Ida), 1/4 c FF shredded cheddar cheese, salt to taste, and 1 T Hormel real applewood crumbles. For the amount used, everything was zero except the hash browns. Cooked 2.5–3 minutes. It’s good and I’m full. • 0 dailies left but at the rate I’m going, early bedtime for me. Less temptation when I’m asleep. 😂 I’m not anti-weeklies—in fact, I love them! Still eating oats in the morning for your heart health? Back in the day when almost nobody knew anyone who had had a heart attack, the typical breakfast was bacon and eggs. Grains are dirty fuel for your body because humans never evolved to digest them very well. Bacon and eggs are clean fuel that your body knows exactly what to do with. Every time you eat those oats you risk increasing your triglycerides and decreasing your HDL, which puts you at greater risk for heart disease. Bacon and eggs, on the other hand, will decrease your triglycerides and increase your HDL, putting you at lower risk for heart disease, especially if you're eating a lower-carb diet. It will help your liver, too, which has to clean up after all of the toxicity from the oats. One of my clients had Stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver and for two years her labs didn't budge, even though she was seeing 5 different doctors, both traditional and alternative. She was eating mostly vegetables during the day with oats for breakfast and frozen breadsticks sometime later in the day. We came up with a new plan for her, subbing bacon and eggs for the oats, adding a chicken breast to her daily diet, increasing her daily fasting window by a couple of hours and doing hypnotherapy to no longer want the breadsticks. Her labs reversed immediately and she lost 10 pounds in a month without even trying. She said her primary doctor told her she was "doing cartwheels." :)⁣ .⁣ How do I make my eggs? I sauté a cut-up piece of bacon in a pan (don't drain!), add some greens or other veggies if I feel like it, add beaten eggs and sprinkle with some smoky sea salt. I like to serve them with a few fresh berries on the side. Yum!!!
