Yesterday I took a lovely slow Hatha class with my friend Kara. Starting my yoga journey with power vinyasa, I never thought I would enjoy a slower paced class, but once again, this hip injury has led me to look at things differently and take my practice in a different direction. I’m really learning that I have to go slow right now, and not irritate my hip flexor, otherwise it starts hurting and I end up laying on my mat crying 🤷🏻‍♀️ You know how when bad things happen, the mindset becomes, “why me?” and, “no one else has ever felt this way” but then later, you realize that it all happened for a reason and you’re better because of it? Well, let’s just say I’m hoping that this is one of those situations!
