Follow @yogamics 👈👈 Try it now or save it for later✔ ・・・ Shoulder, hamstring, hip flexor and heart opener. ♥️ The bound splits (eka pada raja kapotasana in hanumanasana) is a pretty intense pose. I don’t go into this one often, and when I do, I’ve done lots of prep poses to make sure my body is ready. Even if you have no desire to ever bind your foot in the splits, the prep to move into that pose is useful nonetheless. The block I’m using is placed under my hamstring right at the insertion at the sit bone (ischial tuberosity). With this support, I can ease into a deeper stretch on my breath. The strap assists in opening my shoulders. Reaching over the top with both arms to grab the foot means a deep internal shoulder rotation. It’s easier to control the depth of the stretch with the strap. And finally, I have a pad under my back knee. Padding is great to support knee sensitivity. Selbsterfahren. 🌟 Ich frage mich oft was für eine Aufgabe ich in diesem Leben habe. Welchen Wert ich weiter geben möchte, bzw. kann. Es gibt soviel Wissen was man sich aneignen kann, nur war ich “leider” nie die die gut in auswendig lernen war, geschweige es sich über den logischen Verstand aneignen könnte. Ich war und bin schon immer die “Fühlerin”. Deswegen fühlte ich mich wohl auch immer so “verloren” während meiner Schulzeit. Witzig auch das diese Erkenntnis genau dann kommt, ein paar Tage nachdem sich eine alte Freundin aus meiner Schulzeit bei mir meldet - Zufall? 😇 In meiner jetzigen Medical Yoga Ausbildung sitze ich oft da und frage mich wie ich mir dieses ganze wundervolle Wissen von @flowingom alles merken soll. Fühle mich überfordert. Aber dann lehne ich mich auch wieder entspannt zurück und vertraue. Vertraue darauf dass genau das Wissen bleibt was ich brauche. Das ich genau in dem Moment wenn ich es brauche es kommt. Intuitiv, ich es fühle. De laatste ochtend bij @vikasayoga wilde ik afsluiten met een 45 minuten durende les meditatie en pranayama en daarna een 2 uur durende hatha les. Maar na de meditatie voelde ik zo erg de behoefte om lekker op mijn eigen tempo te gaan flowen. • Soms is het zo fijn om een les te volgen. De energie van de groep, het volgen van een leraar en het krijgen van assists en adjustments kan je practice echt naar een hoger niveau tillen. Maar soms is het ook zo heerlijk om helemaal in te tunen bij jezelf en jezelf over te geven aan je eigen flow. • Hier op het resort zijn verschillende fijne plekjes te vinden om je mat uit te rollen en lekker je ding te doen. Holding a yoga pose offers many physical challenges, but the biggest chellenge is mental. Holding the gase (drishti) , maintaining the breath steady, controlling your mind ( from wanting to run away🤦‍♀️) , having the discipline to stay... To deepen the practice we get our students to hold poses, this offers challenge not only to new students but to advanced practioners ( me for sure !! ) , poses vary from inversions, spinal twists, supported backbends and more, depending on the class level.
